Mesut Ozil Stay At Werder Bremen

Germany’s World Cup star Mesut Ozil will snub any advances from top European sides, including Arsenal and Chelsea, in order to stay with Werder Bremen. Ozil has been a sensation at the World Cup as Germany stormed into third place and his value has rocketed. Werder, though, will be relieved he is willing to stay in Germany for the time being. The Gunners have been Ozil’s biggest admirers but Arsene Wenger is unlikely to want to pay the £20 million Werder would demand due to his contract situation. The midfielder has just one year to go on his deal with the Bundesliga side, but it is a year he would like to see out. Ozil told German newspaper Bild: “Werder want that I fulfil my contract, so I'll fulfil my contract.” The 21-year-old, who was in sensational form in South Africa, has also not ruled out extending his deal: “But I won't worry about it now,” he added.
